Our Story: 12 Years of Impact

In 2012, when most Indian classrooms were still confined to textbooks and rote learning, BuildX took a different path. Founded in Coimbatore with a single mission — to make science tangible, technology accessible, and mathematics meaningful — we walked into schools with hands-on kits, curious minds, and a conviction that every child is a born scientist.

Today, BuildX partners with 50+ schools across Tamil Nadu, reaching over Fifty Thousand students annually across Grades 1 to 12. Our educators have sat in dusty classrooms, urban labs, and everything in between — and one truth has never changed: when children do, they understand. When they build, they believe. When they experiment, they discover themselves.

Twelve years of feedback from teachers, principals, and parents has shaped every curriculum we design, every kit we assemble, and every lab we set up. BuildX is not a vendor. We are a long-term learning partner.

Why Experiential STEM Learning is the Need of the Hour

India's NEP 2020 calls for competency-based, interdisciplinary, experiential learning from the foundational years. The World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs Report places critical thinking, creativity, complex problem-solving, and technology literacy at the top of skills for 2025. Children who only memorise will struggle. Children who build, test, and iterate will lead.

CBSE Composite Skill Lab — What Schools Must Know

CBSE's Composite Skill Lab mandate requires schools to establish dedicated labs integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics through project-based activities, aligned with NEP 2020:

  • Hands-on making and experimentation as core pedagogy
  • Integration of coding, IoT, AI, and design thinking from primary level
  • Real-world problem-solving through cross-disciplinary projects
  • Assessment of process skills, not just product outcomes

BuildX is fully aligned with this mandate and can directly fulfil your school's Composite Skill Lab requirements.

Regular Classes as a Co-Curricular Activity

BuildX conducts structured, weekly STEM classes inside your school as a co-curricular activity — just like Music, Dance, or Drawing periods, but building the skills that the 21st century actually demands. These sessions run alongside your regular timetable, require no extra infrastructure from the school, and are fully managed by trained BuildX facilitators.

Students attend one or two 45-to-60-minute BuildX sessions per week. Every session is hands-on, structured, and mapped to a curriculum progression. From assembling circuits to training AI models, children leave every class having built something real — not just listened to a lesson.
